CJ didn’t want to take her secret service protection seriously and Simon had to find creative ways of keeping CJ by his side. From Dismantling her car forcing her to drive home in his armored vehicle and taking CJ and her niece dress shopping. Simon even taught CJ how to fire a 357 magnum. A weapon that an officer less capable of dealing with the stress CJ put him under would have turned the weapon on her.
Simon spent his last day protecting CJ at a fund raiser for the President. During the Play Simon was informed that the man hunting CJ was captured allowing Simon the chance to relax and tell CJ how he felt about her. They planned to meet for a date after the play.
