Smallvilles Jonathan Kent (Super Dad)

The only man on Earth that had a tougher job than Superman saving the world was Jonathan Kent’s job raising a Super son.  When Jonathan met his beautiful wife Martha in while she was attending college, both of them dreamed of having a family and raising them on the Kent farm but, neither of them could have dreamed how their little family would grow.

Jonathan worked hard to maintain the farm with Marthas help but like on most farms the children help maintain the property. Unfortunately Martha was unable to have children of her own. A fact that upset Martha greatly but Jonathan only loved her more and spent what little extra time he had buying her flowers and spending all his spare time with Martha. The Day Smallville was pummeled by meteors Jonathan and Marthas prayers about having a child were answered.

Jonathan and Martha immediately new that the boy they found in the meteor crater was no ordinary child. A fact that this child they would adopt would prove over and over again. Jonathan would do whatever it would take to make Martha happy and raise Clark as their own. That included making a deal with Lionel Luther a decision that would link the Kents and Luthors together at the hip as their children grew up.

Jonathan would have to be stronger than Kings and Presidents to deal with Lionel Luthor and keep him at arms distance his entire life to protect Clarks secret. Hiding a 10 year old boy with the strenght to lift cars and the ability to run circles around the state without getting him getting caught was a monumental task. You can’t forget not only did Jonathan teach Clark how to deal with his powers as they developed he also taught him ordinary task like learning how drive.

Jonathan would also have to compete with the attention and meddling of Clarks birth father Jor-El. Who is constantly determined to push Clark away from his family and towards Jor-El’s master plan for Clark’s future.

When Jonathan’s not fighting off impossible powerful men and aliens to protect his son. He’s also trying to keep him away from spending time with a bad crowd and instilling him with a sense of fair play and justice.

Not only was Martha and Clark the luckiest wife and son on Earth. The rest of the world needs to realize how lucky we all were that Superman was raised by a Super Dad.
