I’ve always had a fascination with Norse mythology. As a kid I used to read everything I could get my hands on about Thor, Odin and Asgard. James Lovegrove truly made my heroes come to life making each and every character someone you could relate too, despise or revere as the hero or god they are.
The Age of Odin mingles the real world with the world of Asgard seamlessly. As an X-British soldier Gideon Coxall is recruited by Odin to fight in his army. Against the overwhelming forces that Loki has assembled to get his revenge against his blood brother Odin. For the eons of torment inside a mountain were he was tortured for his crimes against the gods. If Thor’s training and Odin’s knowledge arent’t enough to prepare Gid as his fellow soldiers call him and the rest of a small army of mortals. The Gods of Asgard and the rest of the nine worlds will fall under Loki’s maniacal rule. I’d love to tell you more about battles won and lost. Of friends and family sacrificing themselves and of a love that was written in the stars. I can’t bring myself to ruin such an incredible story but let me tell you the next time your at the book store pick up The Age of Odin you won’t regret it.
